Here at Choice Talent Management we strive to promote safe sex practices. One way of doing that is to encourage performers to educate themselves about HIV and how to prevent it, whether that entails the use of condoms and/or the daily use of PrEP (Truvada).
The Ready, Set, PrEP program from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) helps provide free HIV-prevention medications to thousands of uninsured and under insured people living in the US who qualify. The program expands access to daily oral PrEP medications to lower the number of new HIV transmissions bringing the United States one step closer to ending this epidemic.
HIV.org estimates that 1.2 million people in the United States could benefit from taking PrEP medications, but fewer than 25% of them are taking it. With the help of the HHS, Ready, Set, PrEP tries to address the cost barrier for some individuals who might otherwise wish to use PrEP.
If you are sexually active and not on PrEP (Truvada), we encourage you to apply for the Ready, Set, PrEP program to see if you qualify for receiving free or affordable PrEP. Click on the link below to head over to HIV.org to apply.
